Storvik Baronial Investiture and Novice Tournament
July 9, 2016
Barony of Storvik
The Barony of Storvik invites all good gentles to the Storvik Novice Tournament. Enjoy the pageantry and celebration as Storvik says our thanks to our departing Baronage; Baron Badouin MacKenzie and Baroness Griele vanden Burgh and welcome our new Baronage.
Come; join us as Novices display their talents upon the fields of heavy, rapier, archery and Arts and Sciences.
Martial Activities: Authorizations: Being only two weeks before Pennsic War, this is a great time to get authorized. Novices looking to participate in the Tourney, and those seasoned veterans trying out a new weapon style should arrive early, as we expect there are many who will need to be authorized.
There will be two armored tournaments: Novice Tournament (all fighters who are less than 2 year from their first rattan combat authorization) and a Bedford Points Tournament.
There will also be rapier competitions throughout the day, including a Novice Tournament (all fighters who are less than 2 year from their first rapier combat authorization)
Arts & Sciences Activities: Haven’t found an art or science that you enjoy doing? You’re in luck! Come to Artisan’s Row and check out what people are doing.
OPEN Novice Competition. There will be two planned competitions along with an open display. As is tradition we will host a Novice Competition for those practicing their craft for one year or less. Documentation is encouraged but not required.
Additional the St. Ann Clothiers guild will be sponsoring a competition.
