Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday

September 04- 07, 2015
Barony of Sacred Stone

Please join us as we celebrate our thirty third year with a smár ágæti! We have a long weekend of revelry and fighting planned, full of challenges of strength, talent and endurance. Plenty to do for the young and the young at heart.

Gather your armor and weapons, and throw yourself into the fray: there will be combat for all. We have many tempting scenarios including boat battles with plenty of viking. There will be equestrian challenges, and a youth combat tourney.

Combat not your forte? Lest you think that is all we offer, let me entice you with some of our competitions. There will be a Norse scroll competition for the illustrious calligraphers and illumination artists. Challenge yourself prepare a recipe worthy of the Golden Apples of Iðunn, and win a sweet prize. Show us that your mead echoes Suttungmjaðar, and win our admiration (and a prize). Help us adorn the beautiful Sif with hair related treasures worthy of the goddess. Impress us with your weapon's lethal grace and be rewarded as a true heir of the Norsemen. Bring you best boat and enter It may not be Skidbladnir. (More competitions will be announced as the day draws closer.) Our Baron and Baroness will be choosing many of their champions this weekend including all their youth champions, as well as their archery, bardic, brewing, cooking and scribal champion. Not one for entering competitions? Display space is available.

Afraid you will tire of "just looking" at things? Learn with us! Classes will be staggered throughout the weekend. See if the youth can bind Fenris and revel in the outcome, either way. Experience our rich bardic heritage and enjoy performance circles every evening. Nosh on the dayboard Saturday, while you experience the modern representation of our Norse past.

A fantastic feast will be served Saturday evening, but is available with prepayment only. Payment must be received by 23 August, 2015
