Mists of Atlantia: Gawain and the Green Knight (2020-04-24 - 2020-04-26) Misty Marsh by the Sea

It has been a year and a day since the Green Knight first issued his challenge to test the mettle of Atlantia! Join him now in Castle Bertilak at the edge of Avalon for games embodying the five moral virtues of chivalry: friendship, generosity, chastity, courtesy, and piety. Your knightly virtues will be tested even as your kith and kin are entertained. Gawain & the Green Knight is a QUEST event. Everyone attending will be challenged to engage with Avalon’s diverse residents to solve the many mysteries of the Green Knight. The more you interact, the better you’ll do and the more fun you’ll have! No matter how much you engage, you’ll definitely have a good time!

FightingOur host Bertilak de Hautdesert has arranged for three hunts to take place using thrown weapons. The first is a boar hunt using spears. The second, an archery hunt for deer. And the third, a fox hunt using the Green Knight’s favorite weapon, the axe!
Arts & Sciences:An on-site poetry competition will challenge the creativity of all arts enthusiasts! Alliteration, numerology, and the “endless knot” will inform writers as they are provided with a word list to employ. As guests will be journeying to Avalon, a competition of traveling goods (creativity encouraged) will also be held.
Feast:Bertilak de Hautdesert invites everyone in Avalon to attend a feast at Castle Bertilak as prepared by his outstanding chef, Lord Charles Fleming (Brian Towey). Please address any dietary concerns to him at cbt@ib-ent.com. ALL persons occupying a chair at feast (this includes children) MUST have a reservation (even if they are comped)!
Other:The Commedia dell’ Arte troupe I Firenzi will be performing a play for guests on Saturday evening. But a rousing improv round of Whose Line Doth It Be Anyway? will break up your afternoon with laughter!
