His Majesty is a Scandinavian knight whose heraldic colors are black and burgundy (together) but his favorite color is dark purple (alone). He believes that the 14th century is the “one true century”. He is a lover of cheese and his household motto is “ecce potestas casei” which is Latin for “behold the power of cheese”. King Ragnarr enjoys fighting and fencing and playing all sorts of period board and card games. His heraldic emblazon is “Per pale gules and sable, a lion rampant Or charged on the shoulder with a hammer sable.”

- His Majesty has a very special and restrictive diet. He eats mostly dairy, carbohydrates (but not rice) and fruits with very little (and specific) meat and almost no vegetables. He is a fan of simple fare (grilled cheese, PB&J, mac and cheese, etc) with his favorite thing being pizza. His love of hot dogs is grossly over-exaggerated. For dayboards and hospitality, things like small slices or cubes of cheese, spreadable cheeses, crackers, soft breads, pepperoni and small sweets (cookies, small pastries, brownies, snack cakes, etc) work best.
- Preferred Drinks:
- Flavored waters, diet sodas (especially diet Dr Pepper Cherry or Strawberries and Cream), Mountain Dew (not diet), Gatorade (red, blue, and purple colors), and milk (strawberry, chocolate, or plain…no skim)
- His Highness doesn’t really drink alcohol so while he will always appreciate the hospitality of the offer, he will most likely decline.
Her Majesty is a weaving Laurel whose heraldic colors are blue and gold and her favorite colors are blues, purples & deep reds. Queen Mary Isabel is a bit of a magpie, and can often be found exploring a wide variety of clothing types. Norse clothing, and later period Ottoman clothing are regular favorites. She is a lover of the arts and a fan of high middle ages tournaments and pageantry. Her motto is “Alis volat propriis” which is Latin for “She flies with her own wings”. Queen Mary Isabel enjoys playing period games, learning about period arts and sciences, watching tournaments, providing hospitality and enjoyable conversations with friends and newcomers alike. Her heraldic emblazon is “Azure, on a pall inverted between three bells Or three sprigs of heather proper bound by a ribbon azure.”

- Her Majesty looks forward to marveling at the artistry of the Kingdom’s amazing cooks, and is willing to try almost any type of food. She does have a sensitivity to crab, but just needs to know what dishes to avoid. During the day, “grab & go” foods are very appreciated, as are strawberries/blueberries, smoked almonds and cheeses.
- Preferred Drinks:
- Flavored waters, diet sodas (especially Coke Zero), hot tea with Splenda/Truvia
- Her Highness is a teetotaller, but prefers sweeter meads, wines & cocktails when she imbibes.
