Directions:
From Points North
- Take your most direct route to MD Route 4 Southbound. The church will be on your left shortly after you cross Lyons Creek. If you reach MD Route 258, you have gone too far.

From Points South
- Take your most direct route to MD Route 4 Northbound. The church will be on your right shortly after you cross MD Route 258. If you reach Lyons Creek, you have gone too far.

From Points West
- Take your most direct route to MD Route 4. Once you reach Bristol, turn onto MD Route 258 Eastbound. Turn left onto MD Route 2 Northbound (Solomon's Island Road). The church is on the right shortly after this turn.

Restrictions:
Site Restrictions:  Site is wet, no original containers, no pets other than service animals. The site is “handicap-accessible.”

Accessibility:
Site is a single, handicap-accessible building. Most activities will take place on the main floor. A single downstairs classroom may be utilized, if needed.

Description:
Come welcome the Year of the Snake with the Barony of Lochmere! A day of revelry and cultural exchange between peoples who honor the Lunar New Year is sure to help shake off the winter chill and delight the senses. Attendees will be able to experience classes, art, and cuisine from across the Far East at this day of merriment.

Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to dress in the styles of the featured cultures. The Barony plans to offer a garb-making session prior to the event for all those who wish to make new garb for the event. Please keep an eye on the Dredgings (Lochmere's baronial newsletter) for forthcoming information.

Refund Policy:
The exchequer must receive a refund request by mail or e-mail no later than five (5) days after
the event. Refund requests via Facebook message, text, or posts to the event page will not be
accepted.

All requests received prior to the event will be honored.

Refund requests received at or after the event will be honored only if the event made a profit.

Refund requests for feast at the event can only be honored if the feast spot is resold.

No refund requests will be issued until the event books are closed and all reservation checks
have been cleared by the bank.

Refund checks will be issued no later than forty-five (45) days after the end of the event.

Arts and Sciences Competitions

Open Display: New Year, New Crafts
With the new year before you, this is a time to consider new beginnings. As an open display please feel free to display new and exciting projects that you are excited to engage and learn with in the new year. Pens and paper will be provided if you wish to put out a comment sheet for advice or encouragement.

Baronial Cocktail Challenge
The new year is a time of celebration and the barons of the assembled court have challenged the populace to create a delicious and on theme cocktail. In theme of celebration in Chinese culture, red and gold have been chosen as a theme. All submissions should be balanced to no more than 4 0z alcohol and should include a recipe list. ALL Submissions or tasters must be 21+

Lunar New year A&S Challenge : The Moon's Perspective
As we consider the change to a new year, consider the moon overlooking change and travel. Present a piece that invokes the moon's perspective in any medium. Judging will be awarded by populace vote and baronial award

Feast:
In place of a typical feast, there will be a series of four rotating day boards, lovingly prepared by Lady Katla Flokadottir. Each course will feature cuisine from a different country that celebrates Lunar New Year: China, Japan, Korea, and Mongolia. For dietary concerns, please contact Lady Katla. Each board will be accompanied by various sauces, condiments, etc. 

Please bring a bowl and spoon for the congee and the soups!
