From the East: From Interstate 40, take Exit 188 to Highway 421 West toward Boone and Yadkinville. Continue on 421 until the Yadkinville/Highway 601 Exit 257. Turn Right at light onto 601. In 4/10s mile at light turn Left on W. Lee St.
At Light turn left onto West Main St/old Hwy 421. Abt 0.7 mile just before Harmony Grove Friends Meetinghouse turn Right on Booger Swamp Rd, and at the end of Booger Swamp, turn Right on Center Rd and travel 2.2 miles. Turn left on Elchenburg Lane. If you see the Mitchel Chapel United Methodist Church, you have gone too far.

Fire is allowed on site as long as it is contained and NOT located on the leach fields. Alcohol is allowed on premises by those adults ages 21 or older. The Event Steward, or their designee, has permission to card those who may appear underage. Tents must be at least 6 feet apart with any cooking equipment located at least 3 feet from your tent. If you are using a personal heater-if you are connecting a larger propane tank than what the manufacturer recommends-keep that tank at least 3 feet away from any combustible materials.

This is a primitive site with no ramps or concrete pavements. There will be accessible portalets on site however.

Mehregan is the Persian Fall Equinox Festival honoring the Zoroastrian Yazata or diety "Mithra" who is the representation of light, affection, love, and friendship. What better way to celebrate the end of summer and welcome in the fall with a festival focusing on dancing, feasting, warm spices and aromas, and exciting music! We welcome one and all to participate in our A&S competitions focusing on the use of fire, light, and imagery involving love and building relationships. There will be a cooking competition to test the best use of spices while being cooked over an open fire (aka grills)!
Can you dance or play an instrument? Please consider joining in our bardic and dancing gatherings to showcase your talents! Bring your friends and join us at Elchenberg Castle in the town of Boonsboro, NC as we welcome the 43rd Baronial Birthday for Sacred Stone!

Pre-registration will take place solely through SCORES (SCA.org ) On-site registrations will be available and payable directly to the Barony via cash or check only.
The Baronial Exchequer must receive refund requests in writing no later than seven days after the event ends per Kingdom approved guidelines. No refund shall be issued until the event books have been closed and all reservation checks have cleared. Refund checks not cashed within 90 days will be voided and considered a donation to the barony.

Friendship Largesse Contest
We encourage teams or partnerships of friends to come together and create largesse for use in gift baskets and as tokens for the populace. With at least one friend, your team should create 13 handmade items. The items may be the same or there may be a variety. Your team may be simply friends, cantons, households, etc. Be sure to include a business card or label for each item noting your team name, and if you have one, all artists' names, and what the items are. Edibles and drinkables must list all ingredients. This is free advertising for you and your team!
The winning team receives one item from each entrant. This leaves the barony with the remaining twelve to use as largesse. Winning entry will show LOVE for the Barony of the Sacred Stone in any of the following ways:

double-headed phoenix,
and crystal or mineral stones.
Baroness Azza's Aviary Contest
Create a piece in which ANY bird or birds are central to the design. Artists may choose to keep their work or to donate it to the baronage. Winning item will show the skill of the artist in their chosen medium.
