Description:
This winter, come sail across the wine-dark sea to Sacred Stone, and enjoy an event inspired by the classical world of Ancient Greece. Come prepared to knock the winter rust off of your arms and armor with heavy and rapier scenarios inspired by heroes of myth and legend, while indoors, you may warm your hands and heart with beautiful words of art and science. A lunch dayboard of delicious Greek dishes will be provided.

Cancellation policy: Pre-registration will take place solely through SCORES (SCA.org ) On-site registrations will be available and payable directly to the Barony via cash or check only. Access SCORES through this link:
The Baronial Exchequer must receive refund requests in writing no later than seven days after the event ends per Kingdom approved guidelines. No refund shall be issued until the event books have been closed and all reservation checks have cleared. Refund checks not cashed within 90 days will be voided and considered a donation to the barony.
General Activities
Martial Activities:
There will be heavy fighting and rapier fighting.
Heavy scenarios: A bear pit warm up, a round robin, Atlantian speed tourney for commanders, leading into a five man melee scenario.
Rapier scenarios:
First, as a warm up, we will hold a bear pit or a round robin tournament, depending on the number of participants.
Second, you all will have to fight…the Hydra!
The Hydra fight is a modified bear pit. We will start with two fighters, the Hero and the Hydra. The Hydra may only be killed with head shots; body blows and hand shots don’t count. The Hydra has deadly venom so ANY shot they successfully land on the opposing Hero is a kill. Every time the Hero successfully kills the Hydra with a head shot, another head grows! An additional fighter joins the bear pit on the side of the Hydra.
The Hero who kills the most Hydra heads before succumbing wins the scenario!

A&S Competitions
We will have three A&S competitions, all of which will be populace vote. Documentation is appreciated, but not required. Constructive feedback is available upon request.
Antagonize Athena (weaving competition)
Lady Athena once turned a mortal woman, Arachne, into a spider for daring to be a better weaver.
Do you dare to step up and prove your worth as a weaver?
Show off your best weaving, be it narrow band, whole cloth, rug, or tapestry, and be Athena’s antagonist!
Envy of Aphrodite (love themed)
Have you a song of love? An homage to a beloved work of art? Do you just want to gush about how cute and wonderful your pets are?
Heap praise upon your lord, lady, or love in this competition that will be the envy of Lady Aphrodite!
Catch the Eye of Ares (weapon/armor comp)
Have armor or arms you are proud to display? Got a special interest in the armor and weapons of Ancient Greece? What about your best “no s*** there I was…” story?
Display your armor or show off your weapons, tell us about the arms and armor of Ancient Greece, or regale us with tales of your derring-do!
What have you to show to catch the eye of Lord Ares?
Merchants:
There will be merchant space available in the foyer area of the church. Merchants will need to bring their own tables.
Other:
A luncheon day board with Greek themed items will be available and is included in the gate fee.
