A&S:
The theme for this years event revolve around the early Renaissance period of art and culture. This time was marked by the expanse of trade throughout the known world.  The Art and Science competitions are to be inspired from this with the following entries:

The arts of dyes and dyed items: precious colors became a remarkable thing of the Renaissance with dyes originating from the far east to the colonies. Present any item of leather, wood or of fiber woven, spun, knitted or other skill displaying the use of colored dyes from the various regions of the time. Documentation is requested for an explanation of the color resource.

Feather creations: Feathers were used in many applications for the Renaissance. Indeed some entire species of birds were nearly hunted to extinction for their plumes. Present an item of feathered flair for the pleasure of the populace. The item does not have to contain real feathers to qualify for entry. Documentation is desired but not required for this populace voted competition.

As always open displays of work are welcome. Please come and share your work that it may also inspire others to create and craft.
