Competitions

-In honor of our Exellencies" 30th wedding anniversary they would like to sponsor a Pearlescent A&S  competition. Entries may be in any medium and use pearls as an element, theme, or inspiration

-Best use of baronial trim

- Photography Contest Since we can"t be together, and miss each other so, I am sponsoring a contet and off a challenge for Nottinghill Coill Baronial Birthday. Take a picture of a still life that shows me "you in the SCA". Is it your craft materials? Your sweat drenched Gambeson? A magnificent display of your art? Your hands while you are working on something? A fan you use while listening to court? Your only limit is your imagination. Try a few different compositions. Think about what you feel you are in the SCA and try and say it with objects. Then try and photograph to the best of your abilities! Consider light, angle, etc. The rules are simple: - You need to "set up" the photograph and preferably take it. However if a bodypart is in it that makes it impossible for you to take the picture without contorting, it"s okay for a spouse or child to click the button. - If part of your display features someone else"s work (say you are photographing your regalia) you do have to have permission from

the maker. - You can go for funny, beautiful, poignant or even icky, as long as your picture makes a statement. - No documentation necessary, but you can add a few lines to explain why you chose this representation. - Pictures can be taken with a camera, a phone or "any recording device that yields a photograph". - please send photographs to faerieeva@hotmail.com

-Youthful flights of fancy-  ï»¿Sponsored by Tereza Quinones deToledo  Open for any youth entry of arts and sciences.

Any youth that would like to have some extra resources for their activities should contact Lady Cyneswith the Quiet at renee.hougey@gmail.com before February 9th.  Supplies are limited.
