Celebration of Yule
(2019-12-14 - Site opens at 10 AM & Closes at 3 PM)
Ponte Alto

As the shortest days of the year arrive, winds blow cold, times are hectic, and the days are dark. In the Barony of Ponte Alto, there is light, beauty, and warmth at the center of this storm. With good tidings to all, we rejoice in the glow of Yule, share mirth with all, as we celebrate the twelve inaugural days of the season. Hearken thee, then, to the center of Yule, where we regale each other with warmth, joy, mirth, and goodwill. Warm yourself in the company of friends, raise cups of hot drinks, and join us for a day of fun, fellowship, and festivity.

The Barony of Ponte Alto invites all to join us for a cozy, jovial celebration of Yule. The theme will be warmth and the magic Yuletide number of twelve. Come dressed in your holiday finery for a day of gaming, music, arts, dancing, and merrymaking.

Arts & Sciences Activities:

Dancing: There will be dancing, led by our famed dance master, Lord Randall, including basic instruction for those who are feeling a bit rusty, or those who seek instruction the terpsichorean arts for the first time.

Music will also rule the day, with a bardic competition and time for bards of all types to share their art with revelers. Bring your instruments, bring your voices, bring your stories, bring your jokes. Join us for a great wassail!

Cookie Bake-Off: As tradition deems, the famed cookie competition will be held. Bring two dozen of your best creations for the coveted title of yuletide cookie bake-off victor. Who will win the crown of antlers? The age-old rules of 12 for this contest are at https://bit.ly/2WttYPW

General A&S Competition: Create your best work, reflecting the warmth that Yule brings to the darkest of days. Documentation should be provided, EZ-docs accepted. In addition, there will be an area available for open display.

Largesse Dirty Dozen: Celebrate the twelve days of Yule with twelve pieces of largesse. One piece of each dozen will go to the victor, the remaining donated for barony use.
