The Barony of Tir-y-Don wishes to honor the tradition begun by Master Rhys Terfan Greydragon and Lady Dubheasa ní Chéirín and invite the Atlantian Cavalry and friends to a weekend of equestrian games, practices, hard work, and camaraderie at the Emerald Ridge Stables in Lanexa, Virginia. The site will open at 2 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 and close at 10 AM on Monday, September 4, 2023. We will be camping in one of the enclosed pastures.

| Equestrian | SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES: Equestrian activities will begin sometime on Friday and end around 5 pm on Sunday. We are still working on the schedule and will post details on the EVENT WEBSITE closer to the event. Lady Caiterína Úaine will be serving as Marshal in Charge for the event. If you can assist with the marshaling or serve as ground crew, please let her know. Email: rockingKhorse@gmail.com AUTHORIZATIONS: If you’re interested in doing a riding authorization and/or Ground Crew Authorization, please let Lady Caiterína Úaine know before the event so she can schedule the appropriate amount of time for them. E-mail: rockingKhorse@gmail.com . EQUESTRIAN EQUIPMENT TO BRING: If you’re bringing horses, please bring at least 50 ft of hose and Y connectors for water. | Arts & Sciences: | GAMES: Noble Andrei Baruskov will host a gaming area, to provide entertainment between the various equestrian competitions. BREWING SOLAR: On Saturday, Baroness Delecta D'Averno is hoping to host a conversation about the art of brewing. This is for anyone interested in discussing/learning about brewing. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Meal Plan: | MEAL PLAN: Lady Anna Cornelia van Sint Maartensdijk has agreed to serve as the head cook for the weekend. There is a meal plan for this event. The meal plan includes Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a light breakfast on Monday. Reservations for the meal plan must be received & paid by August 25, 2023. A menu will be posted on the event website once it is finalized. | Other: | ALCOHOL: The site is discreetly wet, no original containers in public places. Please take home any containers you bring to the event. SITE ACCESSIBILITY: Please note that Emerald Ridge Stables is a working barn with fairly flat terrain and very little pavement, making access challenging for some gentles, especially if the weather is rainy. There are no charging stations on site. Bathrooms are not designed for handicap access. Parking will be in one of the pastures, if we know someone is coming that needs handicap parking it may be possible to arrange one or two spaces closer to the barn. (The regular parking area near the barn is not very large.) The barn office is being used for food preparation and is not open for shelter from the weather. | Site Restrictions: | 1) Pets are allowed with ADVANCE APPROVAL by the site owner. This is a working barn. The pets must be used to being around large animals and kept on a leash or in a secure crate at all times.
