Caer Mear
Join us for the eleventy-first session of the University of Atlantia!! In honor of this auspicious anniversary, we are adding at touch of the Shire and Middle Earth to this session. From a sausage and taters luncheon to a rocketry class, we hope you will find a little bit of the fantastic in this session. in-person in the Barony of Caer Mear on Saturday, 09/17/22, and online on Sunday, 09/18/22.
Please check our website, https://university.atlantia.sca.org/ , regularly for updates regarding class submissions and registration. Currently, the deadline for tracks to be submitted is 08/16/22 while the deadline for classes to be submitted is 08/22/22. You can submit a class any time before 08/22/22, starting immediately.
| Fighting: | We have access to a large gym and large grassy areas at the in-person site for a variety of hands-on martial classes as well as classrooms. There will still be four hours of virtual class times available if you can only attend online on Sunday. |
| Arts & Sciences: | There are a variety of rooms at the in-person site well suited to truly hands-on arts and sciences classes such as painting, cooking, even glasswork. A large performance space would be well suited to music and theater-related classes as well. We also hope to see all the other amazing arts and sciences classes, in-person and online, that have enlivened our other 2022 sessions! |

| Class Reservations:. | To register for either online or in-person University classes, go to [https://university.atlantia.sca.org/admin/](https://university.atlantia.sca.org/admin/) and either log in or create an AEL (Atlantian Enterprise Login) account in order to log in.
Once you are logged in, you can review the class offerings using the Catalog link in the left hand column. The catalog is split into 111 for Saturday in-person and 111b for Sunday online. Select the day you want to attend classes in order to review that day"s class catalog.
The classes are listed in order by hour. The upper right hand corner has filter options so you can focus in on specific types of classes if you like. You can click on the class name to review the description and other information for the class. Select the course that you want to attend for each hour by clicking on the Register link. You cannot select more than one class per hour, and make sure to look as some classes are scheduled for more than one hour. Any additional courses you are interested in, can be starred as a reminder. If a class is listed as full, you can request to be put on a wait list. This won’t prevent you from selecting another class for that hour.
When you are finished selecting your courses, simply return to the catalog page in order to register for the second day of classes.
After you are registered, you will be emailed notifications of changes to your classes, including cancellations and advancing from any waitlists. The week before the session you should also receive a system email with your list of classes.

Directions:
From DC:
Take I-95 S to exit 118 toward Thornburg, follow Morris Road, VA-208 to US-522. Turn left onto 522 S to State Route 623. Turn right onto 623 to VA-208 E. Turn left onto 208 and the school will be 1/3 mile on the right.
From Richmond or Roanoke:
Take I-64 to exit 159 for US-522 toward Gum Spring/Mineral. Follow US-522 N to US-33 W/US-522 N. Turn left onto 33/522 and then right onto 522. Follow 522 to VA-208 W for 1.25 miles and the school will be on the right.
