A long time ago, in a shire far, far away, there was a mighty battle fought……... Now, the battle returns! Competition, combat, music, feasting in a beautiful historic setting. What historical garb can the teams create in 24 hours? What melodies and tales will win the judges’ favor? Who wants to get their melee on and shake the winter off of their armor? Arts & Sciences:GARB CONSTRUCTION: Teams of up to 6 will have from 5:00 pm Friday until 5:00 pm Saturday to construct a complete outfit. (A seventh person can serve as a model only). Judges shall monitor activity throughout the competition and will use these observations, plus their critiques of the final outfits, in determining a winner. The competition will be limited by the space in the hall to the first 8 teams to register. The winning team will receive a prize basket to share. More detailed rules (including the judging rubric) and registration information can be obtained from the event’s Facebook page, website or by contacting the Event Steward. Mini-Stitch: Teams of 1 – 3 people will have 4 hours on Saturday (11 – 3) to make an item for their group’s Gold Key. Winner by populace acclaim, no rubric. Bring your sewing projects and puzzles! We will have folks on site that can probably answer them. BARDIC COMPETITION: To be run by Aelfwyn. Contact is kimberlyrachael@gmail.com. Please check the website for details on the competition or contact Aelfwyn directly.…. DISPLAY: There will be an area for static A&S display.  POETRY COMPETITION: Loremuthr Deirdre O"Bardon. Any period style of poetry, Documentation is requested but not required. Extra points for either a Norse theme or Norse form of poetry. Please contact Deirdre O’Bardon at deirdre_obardon@yahoo.com if further information is required. Works can be submitted via email by the Thursday before the event via email or onsite by noon.  
Feast:There will be a feast to follow the fashion show and folk moot on Saturday. There are 100 seats available for the feast, which must be preregistered by April 22. Please contact Meleri (Mel Walker) at melanie.walker@accomack.k 12.va.us  / 757-824-0284 (home phone) with any food allergies/concerns. (You may sign up for stand-by seats at Troll if any are available). There will also be a lunch for purchase on Saturday.
Merchanting:Merchants are most welcome. Please contact the Event Steward for details...
Other:CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES: A hobby-horse race, butter- making and other activities will be held throughout the day on Saturday. Times will be posted at the site. Accessibility information: This site is an Easter Seals camp and is ADA compliant. There are wide paved paths, accessible restrooms and automatic doors. The site has drone video footage on their website.

Registration Notes:Bunks (suitable for adults) are available for $15/ night. Please include this with your reservation. Event Refunds must be requested in writing within 5 business days after the event closes. All refunds shall be paid by check from the group checking account. Site Restrictions:No fire pits – fire bowls only. Ashes must be cold and disposed of safely. No original containers please. Dogs must be on a leash and cleaned up after….no pets in the hall.
