The Canton of Elvegast presents the 2023 Festival of Elvegast – THE HUNT – June 3, 2023! Come join us on a great hunt as we immerse ourselves in hunting all the things!

| Arts & Sciences: | Enjoy a respite from the hunt in the Taberna Diana (named for the mythical Roman goddess of the hunt). Come partake of our hospitality. Beginning 11:30am you will find food, drink and merriment in the Taberna Diana all served with a song. Please note our beverages include lemonade, tea and apple cider. There will be no alcohol served as this is a dry site. There will be bardic sing-a- longs throughout the day. Wander bards are invited to perform for our guests and the competition for Performing Arts Champion for the Barony of Windmasters Hill will take place in our humble tavern. Calling all storytellers, poets, musicians and bards. Although I am sad to see my time entertaining the populace coming to end, I am excited to learn which of you will take my place as the Performing Arts Champion of the Barony of Windmaster’s Hill. To compete for this coveted honor and rather fine drink horn that comes with victory, join me at the Festival of Elvegast on Saturday, June 23, 2023 and find your way to the Taberna Diana at 3pm. Remember that all types of performing arts are welcome and encouraged in Windmaster’s Hill. Each competitor is expected to perform one piece to please and entertain the crowd at the Taberna. You must also perform a second piece in honor of the “dream” (chivalry, battle, love or whatever the dream means to you). Performances may be original, of SCA origin or period pieces. No documentation is required but we would love to hear a little about your chosen piece before you perform. A&S – Static: Space will be available for static displays – Come display items your persona would have used to hunt, cook, or eat with. Space for display is 18″x20″. | Feast: | We will have a feast!!! The Huntsmen will have been busy. We will be partaking of boar and the the bounty of the field and forest. Please contact Magister Gaelan Mac Cuinneagain, so that he can consult with the huntsman, farmers, and foragers on what not to look for (e.g. tell them what you are allergic to). | Merchanting: | Merchants are welcome at no additional fee (just your site fees). Contact the Event Steward if you are interested in being a merchant. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Other: | There will be plenty of youth and family activities! Scavenger Hunt! A wide variety of SCA related things at an event will be listed in a scavenger hunt ready for ALL ATTENDEES to play the scavenger hunt. Find everything on the list and win a prize! | ||||||||||||||||||||
