General Activities
Martial Activities:
Authorizations, authorizations, authorizations! Rapier, heavy, archery, and siege will be available. Melees will take place after heavy authorizations.
Scheduled Rapier Activities
Authorizations: 10am - 12pm
Academie Gauntlet: members of the Academie D'Espee will be holding the field for all those to challenge. A member from each rank will be available for pick-ups for the duration of the gauntlet.
12pm-1pm: lunch break
1pm-3pm: Castle Battle Melee- In honor of Her Excellency Caitriona, rapier fighters will be sieging a castle with all available armaments, including spears, rbg's, and grenades. Spears will be restricted to broken field areas. We will run an iteration with just rapiers.
A&S:
We'll have lots of space for you to work on any last minute projects. Countess Molly will be teaching a painted silk hand fan class as well. Lady Alexina is sponsoring a friendly "Who's got the best meat?" contest. We will have limited access to the kitchen for reheating so please try to pre-cook your items or bring a crockpot/sous vide for cooking. Entries will be served as part of the potluck dinner and voted on by the populace.
Feast:
There will be a fundraiser lunch to support our Fighter Practice. Dinner will be a potluck with the meat from the competition. Please bring an item to share if you can!
Other:
i. If a person has paid for a Dun Carraig event, but is unable to attend, they
may request a refund, in writing, from the Barony within 7 days of the event
completion. The Barony may, at its discretion, issue a full or partial refund.
Such decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, by a refund committee
consisting of the Exchequer, the Seneschal, and the event Event Steward.
ii. When determining whether to issue a refund, the refund committee will
consider the following:
a.i.1. What is the nature of the situation that caused a refund
request? (Higher priority will be given when circumstances
beyond a person’s control prevent his or her attending the event
or feast). a.i.2. Any/all refunds will be sent no later than 14 days after
event report completion.
iii. All refunds shall be paid by check from the Barony’s checking account.
