Trial by Fire and Royal Archer
(2021-10-01 - 2021-10-03 - Site opens at 3:00 PM & Closes at 1:00 PM)
Bright Hills

With two major activities happening in one place, no one will want to miss a minute of this event! Trial by Fire, sponsored by the Bright Hills Cooks Guild, tests the skill and knowledge of the finest cooks in the Knowne World. With four categories, Main dish, Vegetable, Grains and Desserts, to choose from, our competitors must create a period recipe using only those methods that do not require electricity. What started out as a challenge within the Guild more than two decades ago is now open to both the populace of Atlantia and the rest of the Knowne World.  There are special guidelines for the cooking competition due to COVID this year which are posted at https://www.eventatbrighthills.com/rules-for-tbf

The Royal Archery competition features many and varied stations based on Myths and Legends for archers young, old, and in-between to test themselves and prove that they are worthy to become the next Atlantian Royal Archer. There will prizes for both activities.

Arts & Sciences:
Arts and Sciences will include classes on Saturday, a poetry competition as well as a bardic competition.  Lady Ealawynn Maeru (aka Lady Ela), the Poeta Atlantiae is sponsoring the poetry competition with the theme Feast or Flight. More specifics, including the guidelines can be found at
