Welcome to the enchanting dance that unfolds amidst the interplay of light and darkness, where the spirits of saints and sinners intertwine in the mystical embrace of All Hallows’ Tide. Prepare to enter the realm of War of the Wings XVI. In a world veiled by twilight, where the line between righteousness and temptation blurs, the eve of All Hallows’ Tide emerges as a nexus of profound power. It is on this night that an ancient conflict awakens, as the souls of saints and sinners clash, each seeking dominion over the realms of the living and the dead. As the moon ascends its celestial throne, a symphony resonates, casting an ethereal glow upon the spectral plane. The radiant spirits of saints descend from the heavens, embodying divine grace, while the shadowed specters of sinners rise from their eternal abode, draped in echoes of remorse. Within this existential battle of morality, all beings find themselves entwined within the cosmic tapestry. Mortal souls, bearing both virtue and vice within their hearts, stand as pawns caught in the dichotomy of saints and sinners. Their choices and actions hold the key to restoring equilibrium and guiding the fate of the realms. Our Kingdom lies torn asunder as the illustrious monarchs of Atlantia become deeply embroiled in this epic struggle. Our beloved Queen Mary Isabelle has heeded the call of darkness, turning to the sinners in her earnest attempts to save them, persuading all to join her cause. Meanwhile, His Majesty Ragnarr, adorned with grace and wisdom, seeks refuge among the Saints, striving to bring Mary Isabelle back to the light and safeguarding her from the unfolding conflict. Which side will you choose?

Land Agents - Site/Troll opens for land agents at 10AM Tuesday, 10/17/2023, it will close at Midnight.

Merchants - Site/Troll opens for Merchants 10AM on Tuesday, 10/17/2023, it will close at Midnight.

Populace - Site/Troll opens for general populace at 2PM on 10/17/2023; it will close at Midnight. For Wednesday 10/18/2023 to Saturday 10/21/2023 Troll hours are 8AM to 10PM. Note Troll will not be open later as in past years; There will be an after hours phone contact. The Event closes and everyone is asked to vacate Sunday, 10/22/23 by 12 noon.

The new online registration system SCORES is ready for reservations!  The Steps to register and pay on line are as follows! • Electronic Registration and Payment: • 1. Go to SCA.org • 2. Log in to your account ** • 3. Select Event Registration (top bar of your account) • 4. Select War of the Wings 2023 • 5. Put in the total number of tickets. Include any family members in the total. • 6. Select other family members, if needed. • 7. Select Camping, if needed (drop down box for camp name list) • 8. Select your payment method and receipt • 9. All Ghost requests of 250 sq ft. of additional space must have a name assigned to the space. • **If you are new to the SCA and do not have an account, you can request a User Name and set your password.  Payment by check: 1. Make checks payable to: SCA, Inc. Kingdom of Atlantia 2. Fill in the Google Sheet Reservation Form on the WOW website which will email to Cindy L. Madison (Lady Lucina of South Hampton), Reservationist. 3. Mail check to: Cindy L Madison 115 Maple Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503 Please include your SCA Name – Membership # for each member included in the check issued.  There will be a $5 discount for pre-registration no later than October 1, 2023. Pre- registration gives each paid individuals 250 square foot of camping space. Ghost spaces will be $15.00 for each additional 250 square footage needed. The last date to pre-register for allotted land is October 1st, any registration after this time will go to singles camping. Event refunds: If you pre-registered through SCORES – please cancel your reservation on SCORES and then send an email to: exchequer@officer.atlantia.sca.org and confirm your request for a refund. T will be issued per Kingdom of Atlantia's Financial Policy.  The Kingdom exchequer must receive written requests for refunds no later than 5 business days after the event.  All refunds will be issued via check less registration administration/service fees.  No refund will be issued until the event books have been closed and all reservation checks have cleared.  No refunds shall be issued if the event has not made a profit.

Site Restrictions:This is a wet site, modern laws concerning alcohol apply. Pets are allowed, but must be controlled at all times and policed. This is a Primitive Camping Site, folks with significant mobility challenges or who need access to electricity should contact the Event Steward/Event Steward to determine if the site will be appropriate for them. Ground fires are allowed but must be filled in and coals, rocks, remains of wood, burnt and unburnt, removed to the trees. No sumps allowed. Fire Extinguishers are required for ground fires and merchants. Any violation is cause for being removed from the site. For the RV Section, there are NO hookups of any kind. RV's must be registered before coming on site.

Directions:
Directions: From the South: Take your best route to I-77 North. Take Exit 82 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. *Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd. Proceed to the end of Messick Rd. and turn left on Center Rd. Approx. 9 miles later Mitchel Chapel United Methodist Church is on the left. Elchenburg Farm is 4/10ths of a mile further on right. Turn right on gravel road Elchenburg Castle Pl. Signs will be posted. From Hwy 421: Proceed to intersection with I- 77 North, Exit 82, use directions from * From the North: Take your best route to I-81 then to I-77 South to Exit 82, turn left at the exit ramp, use directions from * From the East: Be Aware, signs from this direction are routinely stolen. Be certain to have a backup for finding site. From Interstate 40, take Exit 188 to Highway 421 West toward Boone and Yadkinville. Continue on 421 until the Yadkinville/Highway 601 Exit 257. Turn Right at light onto 601. In 4/10s mile at light turn Left on W. Lee St. At Light turn left onto West Main St/old Hwy 421. About 7/10ths of a mile just before Harmony Grove Friends Meetinghouse turn Right on Booger Swamp Rd, and at the end of Booger Swamp, turn Right on Center Rd. Travel 2.2 miles, Elchenburg is on the Left. Turn left on Elchenburg Castle Pl. If you see the Mitchel Chapel United Methodist Church, you have gone too far.
